Baxter St. at the Camera Club of New York New York City, NY 10002 Deadline Rolling Posted Sep 23, 2026 BAXTER ST at CCNY seeks a warm, outgoing, and highly organized Individual Giving Manager to support individual fundraising and donor cultivation for a fast-growing and influential arts nonprofit. Working closely with the Executive Director and Advancement Officer, this position will help actively identify, engage, cultivate, and steward new and existing philanthropic funding sources, with a focus on individual donors. The Individual Giving Manager will help advance BAXTER ST’s strategic priorities and contribute to the organization’s long-term sustainability by growing and sustaining a diverse community of supporters. Responsibilities Develop and manage directly a portfolio of individual donors capable of giving up to $15,000. Identify and cultivate new individual donor prospects, converting prospective supporters into active BAXTER ST donors. Design and implement annual giving campaigns that drive revenue and deepen donor relationships. Write and deliver, in a timely and thoughtful fashion, the full spectrum of donor communications, including appeals, renewals, proposals, stewardships communications, and acknowledgements. Conduct strategic prospect and donor research. Prepare briefing materials for the Executive Director and board members ahead of donor meetings and events. Assist the Executive Director and board members with the execution of donor meetings, cultivation, solicitations, and follow-up. Collaborate with colleagues and board members to grow an affinity group, including developing special events and fostering connections among members. Maintain and update detailed development event timelines, tracking spreadsheets, and planning documents. Attend a variety of openings, programs, and fundraising events at BAXTER ST and other cultural organizations throughout New York City to actively engage with donors and prospects. Welcome visitors, make introductions, and help create meaningful connections with BAXTER ST’s artists’ work and within the BAXTER ST community during public hours and at events. Coordinate and lead gallery tours for donors, prospective supporters, and other VIPs. Maintain accuracy and integrity of donor records and pipelines in BAXTER ST’s CRM (Little Green Light), including tracking donor activity, interactions, and next steps. Oversees all logistics related to online giving and integration with CRM. Maintain organized digital files. Oversee gift processing and pledge tracking, along with any other development operations-related tasks. Serve as an enthusiastic ambassador for BAXTER ST, representing the organization with warmth, professionalism, discretion, and confidence. Compensation and Benefits $50,000-60,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications Medical insurance subsidy after 90 days employment Hybrid work environment (4 days in office; 1 day from home) Two-weeks paid annual leave Requirements The ideal candidate is personable, confident, proactive, genuinely enjoys building relationships, and passionate about BAXTER ST’s mission. They should be a strong communicator and writer, highly organized, and comfortable representing BAXTER ST in professional and social settings. Requirements include: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Proven track record of successfully securing four- and five-figure gifts. Minimum 4 years of experience in frontline fundraising with individual donors, preferably for cultural organizations. Passion for photography, the arts, and their power to bring people together. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail. Proficient in Google tools and MailChimp. Ability to work well independently and as a productive part of a team. Energetic self-starter with a positive, empathetic attitude, strong judgment, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Ability to handle confidential donor information with discretion and professionalism. Experience with Little Green Light (or similar CRM system) and strategic prospect research processes is a plus.
