The Senior Staff Accountant plays a crucial role within a medium-sized accounting team in the service industry, overseeing accurate financial reporting and managing comprehensive accounting tasks. This role primarily utilizes SAP and Oracle Financials software to ensure compliance with tax regulations and to support detailed financial analysis. Collaboration with external auditors occurs annually to maintain regulatory standards and uphold financial integrity.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial reports in accordance with industry standards
- Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Manage tax compliance and assist with annual tax preparation
- Oversee expense management and monitor budget adherence
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to support business decisions
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with tax preparation and compliance
