Senior Staff Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of a high-volume live entertainment venue. This is a hands-on role with broad responsibility across general ledger accounting, AP, AR, payroll, financial reporting, and event settlements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with a small finance team. Strong communication, critical thinking, and a willingness to take ownership are essential. Key Responsibilities Support daily accounting operations, including general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, and account reconciliations Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers and ensure accurate financial coding and recordkeeping Prepare and analyze financial information, including revenue, expenses, depreciation, and operating costs Prepare and assist with event settlements, including occasional evening work following events Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and requested financial information Assist with the development and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Support the implementation and improvement of financial, payroll, timekeeping, and accounting systems Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency Perform additional accounting and finance projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including public accounting or financial management Strong knowledge of general and accrual accounting Experience with GL accounting, AP, AR, and payroll Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities High level of attention to detail and accuracy Ability to handle confidential financial information Self-sufficient, curious, and resourceful with a strong sense of ownership Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively Willingness to learn and grow within the organization Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 Experience with accounting software and financial systems Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr Vaco by Highspring
