Audit Staff

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Audit Staff. This position will be remote in the Boston, MA area.Overview:Join a growing and collaborative public accounting team as an Audit Staff professional. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with experienced audit leaders, gain exposure to diverse client engagements, and build a strong foundation in audit and assurance services. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to develop their career in public accounting. • Execute audit procedures in accordance with engagement plans and professional standards
• Test and analyze financial transactions and supporting documentation
• Prepare audit workpapers, confirmations, checklists, and engagement documentation
• Perform analytical reviews and investigate significant variances
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and management recommendations
• Communicate audit findings, observations, and engagement status to senior team members
• Collaborate with clients to obtain information and resolve audit-related issues
• Stay current on accounting and auditing standards affecting client engagements

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Public accounting or audit experience preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and audit-related software

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
