Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and accommodations
- Effective communication skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches and materials to meet varying needs
- Passion for supporting students in achieving their fullest potential
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction to students with special needs, in both individual and small group settings
- Assess student abilities and progress; document and report findings as required
- Develop, update, and manage IEPs in collaboration with families and team members
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment promoting respect and participation
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and related service providers
- Participate in professional development sessions and maintain compliance with district policies
