Administrative Assistant (Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese)

CCLS Language School is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant at our Newark (Ironbound) location. Candidates should be fluent in English, Spanish and/or Portuguese (across all four skills) and be able to work with diverse populations.

Requirements:

• At least one year of office work, clerical work, or related field;
• Some college education (preferred)
• Fluency in English, Spanish and/or Portuguese (required)

The ideal candidate should have the following qualities:

• The ability to sufficiently complete tasks in a timely manner;
• Knowledge of Microsoft products such as Teams, Word, Outlook, and Excel (ongoing training will be provided as needed);
• Patience in dealing with large groups of people at once;
• The ability to work with all stakeholders and to be open-minded and welcoming of change and critique;
• The desire to help students improve their lives by encouraging their persistence in studying;
• Honesty and pride in all tasks from the onset to their completion;
• A positive attitude and the ability to work in busy situations;
• The willingness to receive ongoing training from the administration and the ability to adapt to suggested changes.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
