Accounting Analyst

Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring an Accounting Analyst in Thomasville, GA. As an Accounting Analyst for Cardinal Staffing Services, you will be working for an esteemed insurance company supporting financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial operations within a regulated insurance environment. This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-focused organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and insurance accounting standards.
• Support state insurance department (DOI) filings and regulatory reporting.
• Serve as a liaison with external auditors and regulators.
• Oversee reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Partner with leadership on strategic and operational initiatives.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or finance preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and accounting system experience.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

8:00am-5:00pm | M-F | $18-$25/hr. (varies on experience)
