Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families to inform treatment planning.
\n
• Deliver individualized and family therapy based on identified needs, focusing on evidence-based practices to achieve positive therapeutic outcomes.

• Maintain accurate documentation, including billing, treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms, ensuring compliance with specified time frames.
\n
• Develop and implement crisis plans and safety assessments when necessary, contributing to clients' stability and ongoing care.
\n
• Create and update discharge plans to ensure a smooth transition for clients, fostering continuity of care.
\n
• Adhere to all federal and state laws, regulations, and Centerpointe Psychiatry’s policies and procedures, thereby ensuring ethical and legal standards of practice are met.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through training and continuing education to enhance clinical skills and competencies.
\n
• Participate actively in case consultations and agency meetings to collaborate with peers and refine therapeutic approaches.
\n
• Complete all licensure and mandatory training requirements to maintain professional standing.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. Your role will involve providing support to individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional disorders, ensuring that your therapeutic approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related field, which qualifies for licensure to practice.

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW) in the State of California.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience providing therapy in a community health setting, with demonstrated success in building therapeutic alliances with clients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and billing processes.
\n
• Experience in crisis intervention and developing individualized treatment plans is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
