The position is more of an industrial maintenance technician that will self-perform or assist other technicians with advanced repairs throughout the campus. The role works under minimal supervision and some contact with external suppliers and customers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Intermediate understanding of PLC's, ability to access program for troubleshooting purposes (would not be expected to program PLC's)Troubleshoot and repair minor pneumatic and hydraulic problemsInstall, maintain, and repair electrical pumps, motors, heaters, piping systems, water systems, and steam systemsTroubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on general manufacturing equipment such as starters, start/stop stations, motors (up to 480V)Experienced in programable firmware, AC and DC electrical systems, analog and digital display units.Test performance of robotic assembliesEvaluate efficiency and reliability of industrial robotic systems, reprogramming calibrating to achieve maximum quantity and qualityDiagnose, troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary.Other duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or G.E.D.Must be 21 years old or olderMust be flexible on duties and scheduleAbility to work independentlyAbility to perform work at heights using fall protection gearAbility to bend, manipulate tools in small spacesAbility to frequently lift and or move a variety of objects up to 75 poundsRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write basic reports and customer request documents such as work orders.Preferred Qualifications:Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field2+ years of experience working with automated conveyors and controls2+ years of experience with electrical and electronic principles, and industrial electronics2+ years of experience conducting preventative maintenanceApprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical fieldIf you do not meet 100% of the preferred qualifications outlined, we still encourage you to apply.
