Responsibilities Follow FIFO guidelines when proceeding to the next order. Read and understand the order correctly to start the assembly process (Top to bottom). Start with the external assembly process. Attach plastic washers; grease needs to be added. Place shims, plates, and springs (depending on the requested item). Test handle to ensure proper mechanism function; verify that installation is not too tight nor loose. Team lead can assist trainee with an accurate sense of correct tightness. Add springs/spindles to the handle; make adjustments as needed. Proceed with assembling the inside component (repeat 1-10 instruction). Maintain a clean workstation throughout the shift; keep only product needed. Refill individual bins/shared bins. Emtek’s business model relies on the associate’s ability to work in various departments/jobs/roles. Associates may be moved within the various departments/jobs/roles to sustain promised lead times to customers. Training Stages Day 0-27: Must be able to complete 10 pairs per hour. Day 27-55: Must be able to complete 15 pairs per hour. Day 55-85: Must be able to complete 22 pairs per hour. Qualifications Meet productivity goals, 22 pairs an hour. Must be willing to work in a fast‑paced, intense environment. Must be able to work independently. Work varied hours as required. Must demonstrate a good work ethic. Must complete Hour by Hour sheet with dates, times, and discrepancies. Physical Demands and Work Environment The employee frequently walks or stands for long periods of time. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.; occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.
