Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, offering flexibility and convenience for both therapists and clients. You will be part of a collaborative telehealth framework, allowing you to engage with clients through virtual sessions while ensuring their comfort and security. Our work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening hours as needed to accommodate clients’ schedules.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use issues, ensuring that any co-occurring disorders are accurately identified.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans collaboratively with clients, focusing on addressing their unique needs using evidence-based therapies.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients build essential coping skills, enhance emotional regulation, and create effective relapse prevention strategies.

• Regularly coordinate care with a diverse multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless integration of services tailored to individual recovery pathways.

• Monitor clients' substance use behaviors and conduct motivational interviewing to inspire change and reinforce commitment to recovery.

• Provide educational resources and support to clients and their families about the interaction between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing adherence to treatment.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of clients’ treatment progress and interventions as required by ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in continual professional development by participating in case conferences, team meetings, and training sessions focused on co-occurring disorders.

The primary client focus for this role includes adults who are experiencing both mental health disorders and substance use challenges. You will engage with a diverse range of individuals, each on their unique recovery paths, and your expertise will play a crucial role in helping them achieve sustainable wellness and independence.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A strong understanding of the interplay between mental health issues and substance use disorders is essential.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of relevant experience in treating clients with co-occurring disorders.

• Experience with telehealth platforms and virtual client engagement will be considered a significant asset.
