About the Job The Department of Urology at the University of Minnesota Medical School is seeking an individual for a full‑time clinical appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on an academic or clinician track. Duties include clinical and/or basic science research, patient care in pediatric urology, and certain administrative duties. As an educator, the applicant should have the ability to attract students and residents to the field of urology/pediatric urology, including those from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in surgery. Qualifications Minimum qualifications include holding a MD degree and being board‑certified or eligible in urology, with additional certification or eligibility for pediatric urology. Successful candidates will have strong surgical skills and be sensitive to the needs of patients from diverse backgrounds. Pay Range: Salary at the University of Minnesota is dependent upon academic effort of the person hired, beginning at $52,000. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary is competitive with market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.
