Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Accounts Receivable Specialist to join one of our excellent clients in Greensboro. This role is responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances, maintaining accurate customer records, and supporting month-end accounting activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Key Responsibilities Process and post customer payments received via check, ACH, wire transfer, and credit card. Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and timely. Monitor customer accounts and aging reports to ensure prompt collection of outstanding balances. Contact customers regarding overdue invoices and resolve payment discrepancies. Research and reconcile customer account issues, short payments, and unapplied cash. Maintain accurate customer account records and documentation. Prepare accounts receivable aging reports and provide updates to management. Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries related to receivables. Collaborate with sales, customer service, and operations teams to resolve billing concerns. Support credit reviews and new customer account setups as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures. Assist with audits and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred. 2+ years of accounts receivable, billing, or general accounting experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles and receivable processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Dynamics preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
