About the Position

Sahuarita Speech Spot is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to provide in-person services at Continental Elementary School in Green Valley, Arizona. This is a part-time, school-based position offering approximately 12 consistent hours per week.

The primary assignment is located entirely at one school. Unlike many home-based positions, the SLPA will not need to build a caseload, wait for hours to become available, or travel from one family’s home to another throughout the day. Students are seen during the school day at Continental Elementary School, providing a predictable schedule with less unpaid travel time.

Additional hours may be available at Mexicayotl Academy of Excellence and Little Red School for a candidate who would like to increase their schedule, but these additional locations are optional.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech-language therapy under the supervision of a licensed SLP
• Implement students’ IEP goals and established treatment plans
• Collect accurate data and maintain timely service documentation
• Collaborate with the supervising SLP and relevant school staff
• Support students in areas including speech sound production, receptive and expressive language, social communication, and AAC
• Participate in supervision and consultation as required

Qualifications

• Current Arizona SLPA license or ability to obtain licensure before beginning employment
• Degree or training meeting Arizona SLPA requirements
• Experience working with children preferred
• School-based experience preferred but not required
• Dependable transportation and ability to work on-site in Green Valley
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are welcomed but not required

Position details

• Approximately 12 hours per week initially
• In-person services at Continental Elementary School
• Additional hours at other contracted schools may be available
• Weekday daytime schedule
• Pay range: starting at $32 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
• Supportive supervision provided by a licensed SLP
