Safety Manager I, II, or III (Renewables – Nationwide Opportunities) MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure provided pay range: This range is provided by MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Base pay range $87,600.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr Overview Join the movement to power a cleaner future. We’re seeking experienced and driven Renewables Safety Managers. As a Safety Manager, you’ll help plan, organize, and implement the company’s Safety Program on construction projects while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and corporate environmental, health, and safety regulations. This is a traveling position (up to 100%). You may be placed at project sites anywhere in the U.S., typically spending 8–12 months per project. A vehicle is provided, and you’ll receive daily per diem in addition to base pay. This role is eligible for routine travel home (rotation). Essential Job Functions Oversee all aspects of the site safety program Conduct safety checks; use Stop Work Authority when needed Guide staff on corrective actions to eliminate hazards Create strong Safety Leadership and encourage participation Participate in jobsite R4 Safety Committee and present results Assist or lead safety meetings and review documentation Attend required weekly and daily safety meetings Communicate with client and company leadership on safety matters Input, review, and monitor incident reports and site postings Track and present leading indicator data Maintain first aid and emergency supplies; manage onsite drug/alcohol testing Spend ~60% of time in the field Identify hazards and document corrective actions Implement Zero Injury System and enforce safety policies Ensure environmental permitting compliance and weekly inspections Lead inspections, testing, and compile DFRs Review recordkeeping, trenching/scaffold permits, and compliance documentation Support Hazard Communication Program and SDS management Assist in emergency responses Partner with management to develop and maintain site‑specific safety plans Work with Safety Department on training, injury management, citations, OSHA/MSHA reporting Oversee injury management program and coordinate with local medical providers Coordinate and deliver safety training (Orientation, Fall Protection, LOTO, Confined Space, etc.) Mentor apprentices and support their development Other duties as assigned Qualifications Safety Manager I Compensation: $87,600–$96,500 2–3 years of construction safety experience Demonstrated leadership in safety Safety Manager II Compensation: $96,500–$115,000 3–5 years of construction safety management experience Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred CHST or BCSP certification preferred Must obtain CHST within one year Safety Manager III Compensation: $115,000–$130,000 Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred CHST or higher certification within six months 5+ years of construction safety management experience Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Commitment to Zero Injury principles Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Strong written communication and reporting skills Knowledge of MSHA/OSHA regulations and hazard recognition CPR/First Aid Instructor certification and training experience Working toward CHST, CMSP, or similar certification within six months What’s in It for You Financial Wellbeing Competitive pay with performance reviews 401(k) with company match & Employee Stock Purchase Plan Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare & Dependent Care) National gym membership discounts Family & Lifestyle Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Bereavement Military Leave with differential pay Employee Assistance Program Planning for the Unexpected Short- & long-term disability, life insurance, AD&D Voluntary life, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity Emergency Travel Assistance Group legal plan Additional Information Position may require background check and drug testing.
