What You'll Do

• Provide inpatient hematology and oncology patient care, primarily for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients
• Administer chemotherapy, blood products, IV therapy, and electrolytes
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias using MS/Tele systems
• Manage central line and PICC line care
• Participate in infection prevention protocols and falls prevention strategies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Document care accurately in EPIC electronic health records

What You Need

• Valid Ohio nursing license or equivalent state license
• BLS, ACLS, and ONS Chemo Certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of overall nursing experience, with inpatient hematology/oncology experience
• Skills in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line management
• Ability to adapt to self-scheduling and flexible shift assignments depending on unit needs

This role is based in a high-acuity medical unit dedicated to caring for hematology and oncology patients, with a focus on infection prevention and patient safety. The unit frequently manages blood products, IV antibiotics, and electrolytes.
