Job Description

What You Get To Do:

We are seeking a highly organized Global Manufacturing Project Manager or Associate Manager to oversee and coordinate complex projects involving offshore production, contract manufacturing partners in Asia, and imported sub-assemblies.

In this role, you will serve as the primary operational and project-management bridge among overseas manufacturing partners, Asia-based engineering and supply chain teams, and domestic departments, including Engineering, Quality, OMS, Production, and Distribution. You will drive organizational excellence and manage cross-time-zone communication while ensuring all overseas projects meet strict technical specifications, quality standards, regulatory compliance, and delivery schedules.

Challenge Yourself – The Specifics:

• Lead, own, and manage end-to-end projects and schedules with contract manufacturers and suppliers in Asia, ensuring clear communication across international time zones and cultural boundaries
• Travel domestically and internationally (up to 15%, primarily to Asia) to inspect manufacturing facilities, witness First Article Inspections (FAI), evaluate vendor capabilities, and actively resolve critical production issues on-site
• Partner directly with the Technologies division to manage specialized offshore builds, while coordinating closely with the Sr. Director, Project Management for project hand-offs, status reporting, and executive reviews
• Facilitate activities across multiple departments to include Engineering, APAC, Product, Accounting, Supply Chain, Quality, OMS, and Distribution to ensure alignment between overseas production timelines and domestic delivery schedules
• Analyze engineering drawings, BOMs, and customer requirements to troubleshoot manufacturing challenges with suppliers and verify compliance prior to mass production
• Establish, standardize, and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for overseas project hand-offs, import coordination, and sample approvals to ensure business continuity
• Monitor overseas capacity, lead times, and shipping schedules to proactively identify risks, eliminate logistics bottlenecks, and maintain project momentum
• Create, track, and present project metrics and quote-to-market conversion rates to senior leadership
• Exercise professional discretion to prioritize overseas production runs and air/sea freight shipments based on critical customer demand and inventory needs
• Conduct structured post-production reviews and coordinate with Asia-based QC teams to ensure finished goods meet exact engineering and aesthetic specifications
• Assists with special supply chain and global vendor management initiatives as assigned
• Performs other project management duties as required

Qualifications

You Have a Unique Combination of Skills, Talents and Mindset, Including Many of the Following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business Operations, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and direct hands-on experience
• Minimum of 3–5 years of project management or production coordination experience, managing overseas manufacturing, specifically working with suppliers in Asia
• Must possess a valid passport and the ability/willingness to travel internationally to Asia and other sites as required, expect to travel 15% annually
• Global Operations Knowledge: Familiarity with international manufacturing practices, quality control standards (e.g., FAI, CPT, AQL), shipping, and cross-cultural business communication
• Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP/MRP platforms (e.g., IFS, Trello, Smart Sheets), CAD/architectural software (e.g., Bluebeam), CPQ tools (e.g., Configure One), and Google Workspace (Docs/Sheets), Microsoft Suite
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities under tight production deadlines
