We're here, standing beside our customers, ready to serve and succeed. ITA is seeking a temporary Accountant to join the team at our Headquarters in Newport News, Virginia. Responsibilities The Accountant will support core accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll processing, and financial data entry and reconciliations. This position reports to the Accounting Manager under the Chief Financial Officer. Responsibilities include: Perform Accounts Payable (AP) functions, including invoice processing, vendor communications, and payment tracking Support Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, including invoicing, tracking outstanding balances, and assisting with collections efforts Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable regulations Enter and maintain financial data in Deltek Costpoint, ensuring accuracy and completeness Provide administrative and analytical support to the Accounting team, including reporting, research, and compliance tracking Support audits and financial reviews as needed Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications 1 - 3 years of proven accounting experience Proficient in all MS Office Tools, with an ability to learn emerging technologies at a rapid pace Communicates clearly and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders Ability to demonstrate high level of professionalism with a variety of management levels Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Attention to detail and problem solving skills Demonstrates the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements with professionalism and composure Desired Qualifications: Accounting experience within government contracting highly desired Knowledge of Deltek CostPoint Benefit and Compensation Transparency ITA International proudly complies with all federal and state benefit and pay transparency laws. This position has a broad compensation range due to the complexities of government contracting, including contract pricing, labor category requirements, funding parameters, and varying levels of candidate experience and qualifications.
