About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Research & Development for its global business. The successful candidate will be responsible for long-term strategic planning, product pipeline development, and driving innovation in the field of stroke prevention therapy. This leadership role is pivotal in building a differentiated portfolio, strengthening the company's position in the market, and ultimately helping more patients worldwide. The VP will lead a large R&D organization, collaborate with various functions, and ensure a culture of high performance, collaboration, and a winning spirit. Key responsibilities include owning the division's business and product portfolio strategy, driving the product life cycle process, managing R&D performance goals, and leading the strategic planning process. Applicants must have a BS degree in engineering or a related technical field, with a minimum of 12 years' technical experience in Medtech, and at least 5 years' experience managing senior leaders. The role requires a proven track record in driving change, a global mindset, and the ability to connect with employees at all levels. The ideal candidate will be a culture builder, a forward thinker, and have a strong background in attracting and developing diverse talent. Experience in product portfolio management, agile development, and a background in cardiology or related medical fields is preferred. The VP will also be expected to champion diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to foster a work environment that encourages problem-solving and innovation.
