Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Chief of Staff to serve as the strategic and operational partner to a Vice President leading a large-scale personalization and discovery organization. This role acts as a direct extension of the executive, driving operational excellence, organizational planning, executive communications, and cross-functional execution across a highly dynamic and technical environment.
The Chief of Staff will play a critical role in managing business operations, coordinating leadership priorities, supporting planning cycles, and ensuring alignment across stakeholders. This individual must be comfortable operating at the executive level, influencing without authority, and driving complex initiatives from concept through execution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary strategic and operational partner to the Vice President, managing priorities, communications, and organizational initiatives.
  • Prepare executive briefings, presentations, and materials for senior leadership audiences.
  • Lead Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), annual planning cycles, resource planning, and organizational goal management.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination across business, technical, finance, recruiting, HR, and communications teams.
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks, operating mechanisms, reporting structures, and organizational processes.
  • Facilitate leadership meetings, offsites, staff meetings, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Track decisions, commitments, risks, and action items to ensure accountability and execution.
  • Lead high-visibility projects and strategic initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement process improvements to increase organizational effectiveness.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into executive-level business communications and recommendations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience leading cross-functional programs, strategic initiatives, or business operations efforts (or MBA with 5+ years of relevant experience).
  • Previous experience supporting a Vice President or senior executive leader.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data and metrics to drive business decisions and operational improvements.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly visible environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting product, engineering, AI, machine learning, or technology organizations.
  • Strategic planning and roadmap development experience.
  • Experience leading organizational change and transformation initiatives.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment across diverse teams.

  1. Executive Support / Chief of Staff Experience - Proven experience serving as a trusted advisor and operational partner to VP-level leadership.
  2. Cross-Functional Program Leadership - Experience driving complex initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.
  3. Data-Driven Business Operations - Ability to leverage metrics, reporting, and business insights to improve organizational performance.
Ideal Candidate Background
Successful candidates typically come from Chief of Staff, Business Operations, Strategy & Operations, Program Management, or Business Management backgrounds. They have experience supporting senior executives, leading planning processes, managing business reviews, driving cross-functional initiatives, and creating operational rigor within fast-growing organizations.
