Position Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Business Manager / Chief of Staff to support the client's Vice President. This role functions as a direct extension of the VP, serving as a trusted partner responsible for driving operational excellence, strategic alignment, and execution across a highly dynamic technical organization.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced executive environments, excels at cross-functional coordination, and brings strong analytical and communication skills to influence decisions at all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as primary business partner to the VP and senior leadership, managing executive priorities and strategic initiatives
- Prepare briefings, materials, and insights for L10+ executive audiences
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Finance, HR, Recruiting, PR, and technical teams
- Lead operational planning efforts including OP1/OP2 cycles, 3-year planning, goals management, and business reviews
- Design and implement scalable governance frameworks, reporting structures, and operational processes
- Facilitate executive communications, staff meetings, offsites, and cross-team forums
- Translate complex technical and business concepts into clear executive-level narratives
- Lead high-visibility cross-functional initiatives and special projects from planning through execution
- Identify operational inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement across the organization
- Ensure accountability and timely delivery of strategic commitments
Required Qualifications (Must Have)
- 6+ years of experience in cross-functional project or program delivery, OR MBA with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Prior experience supporting VP or executive-level leadership in a Chief of Staff, Business Manager, or equivalent role
- Strong ability to use data and metrics to influence decisions and drive operational improvements
- Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment

- Strong strategic thinking with ability to influence roadmap and organizational priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence at all levels of leadership
- Experience leading organizational change or transformation initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a change agent in large, matrixed organizations
