Locums - Des Moines, Iowa, Plastic Surgery (IMLC Accepted)

Start Date: ASAP Call Coverage Needed By: July 10, 2026 Assignment Type: Full-Time Locums

Schedule

• Full-time coverage needed
• Initial assignment will be call-only
• Future clinic and OR coverage needs to be reviewed after start
• Availability required for either:
  • 7 days on / 7 days off , OR
  • 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
• Monday-Friday schedule when providing clinic coverage
• Clinic Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• Patient Contact Hours: 36 hours per week

Call Responsibilities

• Trauma call
• ER consults
• Soft tissue call rotation
• Clinic call and EMTALA call coverage
• Must be available to begin call coverage by July 10

Clinical & Surgical Duties

• In-office consultations and procedures
• Reconstructive surgery collaboration with breast surgeons
• Breast reconstruction required
• Future clinic and OR coverage anticipated
• Procedure/OR Days: 2-4 per week

• Nursing Support: 1:1

Patient Volume

• 16+ clinic patients per full day
• Appointment Length: 15-30 minutes
• Patient Population: Surgical and cosmetic patients of all ages

Licenses & Certifications (Key Recruiter Highlights)

• Board Certified Plastic Surgeon - Required
• Active Iowa License OR Active IMLC - Required
• LOQ Required at Name Clear if Using IMLC
• Experienced Plastic Surgeon - Required
• Comfortable with Breast Reconstruction - Required
• Available for 7-on/7-off or 2-weeks-on/2-weeks-off Schedule - Required
• Ready for Call Coverage by July 10 - Required
