Quick Facts: Location: Lafayette, LA Start Date: ASAP End Date/Duration: Ongoing / TBD Shift: Inpatient Rounding, Clinic 1 day/week, Emergency Room call Hours/Week: Flexible, approx. 15-20 patients post-op in clinic Employment Type: Full-Time Locum License/Certs: Active Louisiana state license preferred Experience: Prior APP experience in cardiovascular or thoracic surgery preferred Pay & Benefits: Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00/hr (please note, actual pay to be discussed upon application) Benefits: Competitive pay package, professional support, and flexible scheduling discussed during onboarding What You’ll Do: Provide inpatient rounding and surgical consults for cardiovascular procedures Cover emergency room call as needed Manage post-operative patient care (15-20 patients in clinic weekly) Participate in approximately 90 surgeries/procedures per month including CABG, VATS, thoracotomies, lobectomies, AAA repairs, arterial bypasses, and valve replacements Collaborate with a team of 2 cardiovascular surgeons and 3 APPs to ensure optimal patient outcomes What You Need: Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Louisiana Prior experience in cardiovascular or thoracic surgery preferred Strong clinical assessment and surgical support skills Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities About the Assignment: This opportunity is with a prominent healthcare provider in Lafayette, Louisiana, supporting a busy cardiovascular surgery program.
