The role ensures that equipment, systems, and processes function properly through routine work, testing, and crew oversight. As a Corrections Wastewater Treatment Plant Foreman, you will perform the following duties: Plant Performance: Maintain treatment plant operations under normal and emergency conditions, and manage control systems Equipment Maintenance: Operate, service, and repair pumps, motors, compressors, filters, and related equipment Water Testing: Conduct chemical tests, track results, and maintain logs and supply inventories Documentation Work: Complete paperwork, review concerns, request materials, and manage plant housekeeping tasks Crew Oversight: Direct inmate workers, monitor movement, and ensure security procedures are followed Safety Compliance: Conduct searches, maintain tool tracking, and follow regulations for hazardous materials Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information Full‑time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Your pass days will be determined during the hiring process. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Qualifications Minimum Experience and Training Requirements One year of experience in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant. Special Requirements You must be in possession of a valid certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater Systems Operators as a wastewater treatment plant operator that is equal to or higher than a Class C, Subclass 8, 9, and 11. You must be in possession of a valid Class E certificate issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater Systems Operators. You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania non‑commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent. Additional Requirements Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
