About the Opportunity

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an HR Business Partner to support its Irvine operations and primarily hourly workforce.

This is a great opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being close to the business and seeing the impact of their work. You’ll partner directly with senior leadership, support frontline employees, and have the autonomy to tackle meaningful employee relations challenges and improve HR processes. The role offers visibility, ownership, and room to make a difference within an established, growing manufacturer.

The ideal candidate will have strong HR and employee relations experience within a manufacturing, food manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or similarly fast-paced hourly environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR partner to plant leadership, supervisors, and hourly team members
• Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, attendance, performance issues, conflicts, and corrective action
• Coach managers and supervisors on employee relations, performance management, documentation, and communication
• Partner with Operations on staffing, workforce planning, turnover, attendance, overtime, and retention
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and development
• Partner with Operations and Safety/EHS on workers' compensation, workplace injuries, and return-to-work matters
• Ensure compliance with California employment and wage-and-hour requirements
• Maintain a visible HR presence throughout the plant and build strong relationships across shifts and functions

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience with significant employee relations responsibility
• Experience supporting a manufacturing, food manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or similarly fast-paced hourly workforce strongly preferred
• Experience conducting employee investigations and handling complex employee relations matters
• Strong knowledge of California employment and wage-and-hour requirements
• Experience partnering directly with plant or operational leadership
• Experience supporting hourly employees across multiple shifts
• Strong coaching, communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced operational environment
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred

Work Environment and Compensation

• $100K–$130K + benefits
• Irvine, CA
• Onsite – 5 days/week
• Manufacturing / primarily hourly workforce
• Regular interaction with employees and leadership across the plant
• Monday–Friday schedule
