Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain an understanding of each patient's unique background, experiences, and needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will mainly engage with a diverse patient population that includes ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant clients, each presenting a unique set of challenges and experiences that influence their mental health. The therapist's responsibility includes delivering nuanced care that respects and incorporates each client’s cultural identity into the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches, along with a solid foundation in cultural competency in therapy.

• Previous experience delivering individual and group therapy that actively embraces culturally responsive and inclusive methodologies.

• Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to navigate and remain calm in high-pressure situations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships with diverse individuals.

• Ability to proficiently use electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications pertinent to mental health documentation.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation range for this position is competitive, offering a salary of USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
