ur Client, a nonprofit, is looking for an Accountant!

About the Company and Opportunity:

Our client is a mission-driven, community based non-profit organization.
- They have close to 6K annual volunteers
- They help with health, education and economic mobility in the community
They are in growth mode and are hiring several positions!!
The team is smart and strong. They are all cross trained and supportive.
Offering a comprehensive employee benefits package including a generous paid time off
Our client is open for candidates to work a remote or hybrid schedule
Hartford CT - On site, paid for parking.

Responsibilities of the Accountant:

All month end support
Conduct accounts payable activities associated with grants
Prepare journal entries for funders as well as subrecipients
Prepare and maintain reconciliation and tracking work papers for advanced funds
Manage both federal and non-federal funds with various levels of restrictions

Preferred Qualifications of Accountant :

Previous experience with post award grants
Intermediate excel skills
Self starter - Someone who is resourceful, assertive and motivated
Willingness to learn

Payrate: $65,000-$70,000
