Make a meaningful impact by supporting students’ physical growth and independence as a school-based physical therapist in a collaborative setting. Several in-person, contract opportunities are now available for skilled PTs across multiple campuses, with full-time (37.5 hours/week) preferred and part-time considered. Begin as soon as possible and remain an integral part of the educational community through June 7, 2027.

As a valued member of the team, you’ll serve a diverse caseload of 35-45 students across both self-contained and general education programs, providing care from elementary to transition-aged youth. Seamlessly travel between school sites in the local area, adapting to varied schedules with start times between 7:30 and 8:30 am, Monday through Friday.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT)
• Active Illinois Physical Therapy License
• Previous experience in pediatrics, school settings, or similar environments preferred
• Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans
• Skilled in consultative and direct therapeutic models
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct thorough evaluations and create effective treatment plans
• Provide direct and consultative therapy to students
• Train and support use of positioning and mobility equipment
• Maintain clear and timely documentation, progress reports, and compliance materials
• Collaborate proactively with teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and nurses
