This role is responsible for performing more complex analysis and modeling to minimize loss exposure and negative impacts to the customer experience. Key responsibilities include utilizing a variety of systems such as Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, and other relational databases to provide analytical support on strategies, ensure goals are met, and propose policy and procedural changes within segmentation structures to produce optimal results. Job expectations include evaluating data to assess potential fraud risk and create mitigation strategies. Responsibilities Primary responsibility is to create and update business rules to minimize false‑positive commercial fraud alerts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the CoE’s alert review process. Manage multiple ongoing initiatives by attending calls from various projects, understanding the commercial fraud needs of the projects, providing requirements to the projects, and tracking the status of these projects. Analyze alerts on a daily basis to develop strategies using different pattern‑matching and trending techniques. Query and analyze data required for ad‑hoc requirements on the fly and generate reports for the team to use. Work with technology teams on requirements, testing, and implementing changes to improve and automate processes. Ensure data is accurate, complete, and fit for performing data analyses through various testing procedures and data controls which help identify business insights fit for purpose for a particular product set. Develop and execute Enterprise Data Management policies and standards, work across teams to ensure adherence, serve as a key point of contact for all topics related to data compliance, and manage operational elements of the Enterprise Data Strategy Governance and Operations (EDSGO) relationship. Manage data‑related incidents and identify, communicate, and resolve or escalate issues as needed. Address data inquiries related to data issues, availability of data, and potential sourcing alternatives. Develop, manage, and execute controls, ensuring tracking, monitoring, and resolution of any control breaches with the data platform. Partner with business and technology functions to drive the development of business and functional requirements documents and ensure strategic resolution for data‑related incidents. Recommend ways to help the business achieve desired outcomes and make informed business decisions using data analysis outputs. Perform complex analysis of financial models, market data, financial data, and portfolio trends to understand product performance and improve portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting, and operational performance. Lead coordination of the production of product performance reports and updates for senior management. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 1+ years of experience in SQL/SAS. Intermediate knowledge of SQL and tools such as TOAD, SQL Server. Awareness of AI / Machine Learning concepts and ability to implement such strategies. Experience in data analytics and interpretation of large volumes of data. Scripting experience with a language such as Python, Java, VB, or SAS. Desired Qualifications Experience in financial fraud processes. Data transformation / formatting experience and ability to work with data in different formats. Knowledge of Global Financial Crimes program requirements. Experience in Global Banking & Markets business processes. Logical thinking capabilities with a technical mindset. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Access. Knowledge of PowerBI or Tableau. Ability to prioritize, use own initiative, make quick decisions, be flexible and work independently. Ability to work remotely with teams spread globally, under pressure, meet deadlines, and navigate change. Ability to work and interact with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and opinions.
