Come Join Our Team! The Daughters of Charity, provides a safe, welcoming home for the retired Sisters of the Daughters of Charity Ministries. We offer independent living, assisted living and memory care and our team plays a vital role in creating an environment where Sisters feel respected.We are currently seeking Full-Time and Part-Time Resident Assistants to provide hands-on personal care and compassionate daily support to our Sisters. This role reports to the Nursing Director.What You'll DoAssist with the provision of patient care, complying with established standards of care and following defined procedures.Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with each Sister-resident.Report pertinent data and observations through established system of communication.Provide patient care according to an established plan of care as directed.Assist with orientation of newly hired resident assistants.Cooperate with other staff to achieve departmental objectives and maintain good morale and teamwork.Perform light housekeeping and laundry services essential to care and comfort as well as maintenance of a hygienic and functional environment.Maintain an up-to-date level of knowledge and skill by, reading and participating in, in-service training.What We're Looking ForWe're looking for a patient, empathetic, and professional individual who is committed to supporting Sisters with respect and compassion in their daily activities. The ideal candidate is comfortable providing personal care while always preserving each Sister's dignity and privacy, communicates clearly and professionally with Sisters and colleagues, and consistently demonstrates sound judgment and discretion. They should be committed to maintaining confidentiality, following nursing protocols and infection control standards, and adapting effectively to changing resident needs and care priorities. Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or a senior living environment is preferred.Schedule: Differentials available:1st shift, Saturday/Sunday, $3.00/hour more2nd shift, Monday-Friday, $3.00/hour more2nd shift, Saturday/Sunday, $6.00/hour morePhysical Demands: Must be physically able to efficiently perform the duties of the position, which may involve the following: Standing and walking 2/3 of the day; sitting 1/3 of the day; use of hands to finger, handle or feel; reaching, bending and stooping; talking, hearing; lifting up to 75 lbs. 1/3 to 2/3 of the day.Come join us - exciting changes are in the works!
