Position Overview

We are excited to announce an opening for a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Pulmonary team in an outpatient clinic setting. This position emphasizes delivering exceptional, patient-focused care in collaboration with our Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians, ensuring continuity for patients dealing with various respiratory issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver thorough outpatient care for pulmonary patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of both acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
• Work closely with Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians to oversee shared patient panels.
• Conduct follow-up appointments, manage medications, and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Facilitate care coordination across specialties, including referrals, testing, and procedures.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding disease processes, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Analyze diagnostic studies such as pulmonary function tests, imaging, and laboratory results.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.

• 100% outpatient-focused pulmonary clinic.
• No inpatient duties required.
• Collaborate with a supportive team of Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Board certification (or eligibility) is required.
• Must hold an active or eligible license in the state of Iowa.
• Experience in pulmonary, critical care, or internal medicine is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong clinical skills, effective communication, and teamwork abilities are essential.
