Job Summary

A direct hire opportunity is available for a Certified Paralegal in Encino, CA, with a legal services environment seeking an experienced professional to support litigation matters from pleading preparation through trial. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented paralegal with 3-5 years of experience who is comfortable managing case documents, drafting litigation materials, preparing discovery, and supporting attorneys through depositions, mediation, arbitration, and trial.

The Certified Paralegal will join a professional legal team where organization, accuracy, teamwork, and proactive case support are highly valued. This position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to active litigation matters while working with supportive leadership and experienced legal professionals in a collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Draft pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other litigation-related documents.
- Assist attorneys with deposition preparation, pre-trial investigations, witness preparation, and trial readiness.
- Prepare deposition binders, trial binders, exhibits, and demonstrative evidence for hearings, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
- Organize, review, and maintain case files, supporting documentation, discovery materials, and legal correspondence.
- Provide hands-on litigation support during mediation, arbitration, trial preparation, and trial proceedings.
- Coordinate with attorneys, clients, vendors, courts, and opposing counsel as needed to support case progress.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $37 to $40 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Provide litigation support for mediation, arbitration, and trial.

- Certified Paralegal credential required.
- 3-5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in litigation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, discovery processes, legal document preparation, and case file organization.
- Excellent attention to detail, proofreading ability, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize multiple assignments, and communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, and legal team members.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience supporting attorneys through trial, mediation, and arbitration.
- Experience preparing trial exhibits, deposition materials, and demonstrative evidence.
- Strong familiarity with legal document management and litigation support processes.
