Business Development Lead - NYC

Artemest is seeking a Business Development Lead to lead the expansion of our New York client base, winning new business and growing our highest-value accounts among the city’s top architecture and design firms, developers, and private clients. This is a high-visibility, commercially focused role for someone who wants to make the New York market their own. You’ll work alongside a dedicated Sales & Project Coordinator, who owns quoting, CRM, and order execution, freeing you to focus entirely on what matters most: building relationships, opening doors, and closing business. You’ll report to the VP, USA, and collaborate closely with our Milan HQ team on pricing, custom requests, and delivery. This role is not account management as usual. It exists to drive growth, both new business and expansion of existing accounts, for a company scaling quickly in its most important U.S. market. What will be your key responsibilities? Own new business development for the New York market: prospecting, pitching, and closing new accounts among top A&D firms, developers, and luxury clients. Grow existing accounts by identifying upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities, working with the Coordinator to keep clients well served. Build and manage a strong, well-qualified pipeline in the CRM, reporting to the VP, USA on status, velocity, and revenue contribution. Develop and execute strategic account plans that connect individual client relationships to broader company growth goals. Represent Artemest at industry events, trade shows, and showroom appointments as the face of the brand in the NYC design community. Hand off won projects to the Sales & Project Coordinator for quoting and execution, staying engaged as the primary relationship owner throughout. Coordinate with Milan HQ on custom and bespoke requests, pricing, and lead times to support the sales process. Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity, and the NYC design community to sharpen positioning and surface new opportunities. Mentor and support junior team members as the New York team grows.
