Mitigation Specialist – Water, Fire & Mold Restoration

All American Cleaning & Restoration is seeking a dedicated, motivated, and professional Mitigation Specialist to join our growing team. We are looking for individuals who take pride in helping people during some of the most difficult times of their lives while providing exceptional restoration services using industry-leading standards and techniques.

Our team responds to residential and commercial emergency losses including water, fire, mold, storm, and biohazard damage. Every day is different, offering rewarding work with opportunities to grow within the restoration industry.

Primary Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency water, fire, mold, storm, and other property damage losses
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, demolition, debris removal, and property stabilization
• Set up and monitor drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and specialty drying systems
• Perform mold remediation following industry standards and company protocols
• Complete smoke and fire damage cleaning and contents restoration
• Safely handle biohazard and trauma scene cleanup when required
• Document projects using photos, moisture readings, equipment logs, and daily job notes
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, business owners, insurance adjusters, and project managers
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and a clean, organized work environment
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response services

Qualifications

• IICRC Certifications preferred (WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT, OCT, or other applicable certifications)
• Previous mitigation or restoration experience preferred
• Knowledge of moisture mapping, structural drying, and restoration equipment
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work in varying conditions
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, attics, crawl spaces, and other challenging environments
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and earn additional IICRC certifications

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Xactimate, Encircle, or other restoration documentation software
• Ability to read moisture meters, thermal imaging cameras, and psychrometric data
• Understanding of insurance restoration processes
• Experience operating extraction units, drying systems, and specialty restoration equipment
