We are seeking a qualified, dependable, and experienced Biomedical Field Service Technician to join our technical service team. This position involves servicing respiratory equipment at our Brea facility and performing on-site maintenance and repairs at customer locations throughout Southern California, with occasional out-of-state travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, overhauls, repairs, and calibrations on a variety of critical care and respiratory ventilators.
• Utilize specialized testing equipment, including ventilator analyzers, oxygen analyzers, test lungs, patient breathing circuits, diagnostic software, and calibration tools.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs in accordance with applicable service procedures and technical specifications.
• Complete accurate, detailed, and professional service reports using our web-based equipment management system.
• Provide professional, courteous, and responsive technical service to healthcare customers.
• Perform on-site service at hospitals, healthcare facilities, and other customer locations.
• Maintain proper handling, organization, and accountability of company-provided tools and test equipment.
• Follow established service procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and comply with our ISO 13485:2016 quality management system requirements.
• Participate in company-provided technical training to expand knowledge of respiratory equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or a related technical field; equivalent military technical training or other formal electronics training will also be considered.
• Minimum of two years of experience servicing, troubleshooting, or repairing biomedical, hospital, or related electronic equipment.
• Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills, with the ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong commitment to customer service.
• Professional, dependable, self-motivated, trustworthy, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize service assignments, and perform effectively in a fast-paced technical environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout Southern California, with occasional overnight and out-of-state assignments.
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and access to a reliable, properly registered and insured vehicle for local business travel.

Additional Requirements

• Successful completion of applicable pre-employment screening and background checks, consistent with California law.
• Ability to meet hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including applicable background screening and tuberculosis screening through GHX Vendormate or similar credentialing systems.
• Driving record verification may be conducted initially and periodically thereafter in accordance with company policies and applicable law.
