This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across financial processes . The StaffAccountant partners with internal accounting, finance, and operations teams to support financial reporting, resolve transactional issues, and ensureaccurateprocessing of financial data. The ideal candidate would have a combination of technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated experience using Sage/Business Central is preferred but not required. Title: Staff Accountant Schedule: First Shift Monday - Friday Department: Accounting Finance Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations. Assistwith monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities. Prepare and post journal entriesin accordance withU.S. GAAP. Manage prepaid expenses and record monthlyamortizationentries. Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation. Prepare andmaintainroll-forward schedules andsupportingaccount analyses. Research and resolve reconciling items and account discrepancies. Assistwith documenting accounting procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Support the maintenance of effective internal controls and accounting best practices. Assistwith external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit requests.Identifyopportunities to improve accounting processes andefficiencies. Perform other accounting duties and specialprojects asassigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles. Experience performing bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations. Experience with prepaid expenses, amortization, fixed assets, and journal entries. Experiencemaintainingsupporting schedules and account roll-forwards. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a SOX-compliant or well-controlled accounting environment. Experience documenting accounting processes or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Experience supporting accounting system conversions or ERP implementations. Public accounting experience is a plus. CPAcandidate is a plus.
