Role and Responsibilities The job duties and responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following: Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or errors. Daily reporting of cash position, including cash receipts and upcoming cash outlays to ensure sufficient funds are available to cover expenses and anticipate any potential shortfalls. Assist with as‑needed tasks within Accounts Payable, such as issuing purchase orders for overhead items. Assist Service Accounting Manager with service cost adjustments. Assist Senior Accounting Manager with service revenue recognition and accounting. Ensure accurate financial reporting for fixed assets, inventory, and other assets, processing adjustments as needed. Prepare general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, adjustments, expense allocation entries and other month‑end/year‑end closing activities. Assist in preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. Assist Senior Accounting Manager with VIE monthly bookkeeping Assisting with tasks related to the reimplementation of Vista. Assist with annual external financial audit including initial audit preparation and responding to auditor requests. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting regulations, and financial controls. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather necessary information and resolve any outstanding items. Stay up to date with industry trends, changes in accounting standards, and best practices. Provide guidance and support to the accounting team, promoting professional growth and development. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree – Accounting, Finance, or similar area of study preferred. 1-2 years of Public Accounting experience or equivalent preferred. General Ledger Accounting experience including general journal entries and account reconciliations. Construction Accounting experience is preferred. In‑depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP. Experience working with financial software and ERP systems, Viewpoint Vista and QuickBooks preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent time management skills, coupled with ability to prioritize duties. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams. Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify and implement process enhancements. Physical Demands: Constant sitting, walking short distances, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching above and/or below shoulder, handling/grasping documents or office equipment, clear speaking and adequate hearing sufficient to communicate effectively and respond appropriately in‑person and/or on the telephone, vision sufficient to read source materials and computer screen data, repetitive motions for computer equipment use, lift 25 lbs. occasionally, 5-10 lbs. frequently to lift/carry/move objects, files and documents. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test. Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment with air conditioning and bright lights.
