Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

Multi-Craft Maintenance TechnicianSTEM Search Group is seeking an experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician on behalf of a growing food & beverage manufacturer in the Milwaukee area. This is a 1st shift opportunity - no nights, no weekends. You'll be working in a clean, temperature-controlled, highly automated production facility with a small, close-knit maintenance team. Low turnover and strong long-term employee retention.What You'll DoTroubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and process equipment throughout the plantWork hands-on with PLC-controlled equipment, motor controls, VFDs, and process sensorsCalibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and pH instrumentationSupport plant utilities: boilers, steam, compressed air, ammonia refrigeration, HVACPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, tanks, and pipingRead electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs to diagnose issuesLog work in a CMMS and support equipment upgrades and continuous improvementWhat You Bring5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a process manufacturing environmentStrong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skillsExperience with PLC-controlled equipment, motor controls, VFDs, and process instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, pH)Experience supporting plant utility systems - boilers, steam, compressed air, refrigeration, or HVACExperience maintaining pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping systemsAbility to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDsTechnical degree/certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or equivalent hands-on experienceFood, beverage, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing background a plusTIG welding experience (stainless steel) a plusWhy This RoleFirst shift schedule: 7:00AM - 3:30PM, Monday - FridayExcellent benefits: generous PTO, paid holidays, annual year-end shutdown, 401(k) contributions, tuition reimbursement, paid parental leaveLong-term stability with a company known for strong employee retention
