Plant Accountant

A stable and well-established chemical manufacturing company in the Pasadena/Bayport area is seeking a Plant Accountant to join its lean accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with manufacturing and cost accounting experience who enjoys owning the accounting process in a collaborative, hands-on environment. Reporting directly to the Controller, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day accounting operations while supporting the financial health of a large-scale manufacturing facility. Why You'll Love This Opportunity High-visibility role with significant ownership and autonomy Stable, established manufacturing company with a strong reputation Collaborative, lean accounting team where your contributions make an immediate impact Excellent benefits, including a 7% 401(k) match Responsibilities Manage month-end close activities, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the accuracy of financial records Support accounts payable, limited accounts receivable, and customer billing Maintain fixed asset records and account for capital projects Prepare cost accounting analyses and variable cost reports Calculate and file Texas sales and use tax Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning Support internal, financial, tax, and risk management audits Process employee expense reports and maintain vendor records Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased accounting efficiency Provide backup support to the Controller and assist with special projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting 5+ years of accounting experience Manufacturing and cost accounting experience required Experience with: Month-end close Fixed assets Capital projects Bank reconciliations Accounts payable and billing CPA or CMA is a plus Stable work history with a desire to build a long-term career with a growing organization If you're a manufacturing accounting professional looking for a stable company where you can make a meaningful impact, we'd love to connect. #J-18808-Ljbffr
