Project Accountant

A well-established, industry-leading company in the commercial equipment and construction space is looking to add a Project Accountant to its growing team. This role will support the financial management of a large portfolio of active construction projects, with a particular focus on project billing, contract administration, collections, and maintaining accurate project financial records. It's ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with operations and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Be Doing Manage project billings and AIA requisitions (G702/G703) across multiple active projects Review contracts, change orders, and project documentation to ensure accurate billing Reconcile project billings against contract values and internal systems Track project costs, billing status, retainage, and collections Coordinate lien waivers, stored materials documentation, and other project requirements Work with project managers and operations teams to support project financial performance Maintain accurate project records and reporting Assist with month-end project reconciliations and financial analysis Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines What They're Looking For 5+ years of Project Accounting experience within construction Strong understanding of AIA billing (G702/G703) Experience working for a subcontractor, contractor, or construction-related business Familiarity with project costing, contract administration, billing, and collections Experience with Textura, GC Pay, Procure, Procore, or similar platforms Strong communication and organisational skills Comfortable working onsite, 5 days a week in Long Island Why Apply?
