Work Environment\n

This position will be primarily remote, offering flexibility and convenience for both counselors and clients. However, you will also engage as part of our outpatient office setting when necessary. Our outpatient counseling center facilitates scheduled appointments, allowing you to work closely with clients and tailor your approach to meet their specific needs while ensuring a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to develop tailored treatment plans that address the individual needs of clients.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for a diverse clientele, which may include individuals, couples, families, and groups, in a supportive and empathetic manner.

• Utilize a wide range of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, customizing approaches to fit each client’s circumstances.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide holistic care and ensure the best outcomes for clients.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, upholding ethical standards and adhering to legal regulations in the counseling profession.

• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and training to remain current with the latest research and advancements in mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of providing counseling services in a clinical setting is essential.

• Strong foundation in ethics and legal standards in counseling practice.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary to build trust and therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

• Demonstrated teamwork ability, effectively collaborating with healthcare professionals across various disciplines.

• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and familiarity with relevant counseling software.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in trauma-informed care, substance abuse counseling, family therapy, or couples counseling is highly desirable and will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

• Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.

• Attractive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload.
