Overview: The National Account Sales Specialist (NASS) is responsible for managing and expanding strategic partnerships with key national industrial distributors, primarily Fastenal, Global Industrial, Grainger, Motion, Vallen and Wesco at the local level within their geographic territory. This role focuses on developing and executing growth strategies to drive revenue, aligning manufacturer capabilities with distributor needs, and cultivating long-term, value-driven relationships at the local level.
The NASS plays a critical role in business development and account management at the local level, with a strong emphasis on identifying opportunities and creating tailored solutions. Success in this position requires a deep understanding of the company’s products and services and the ability to influence decision-making at multiple levels within national distributors.
This role works collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and product management, to ensure alignment with business goals and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction. The NASS reports to the SVP – Industrial Sales and may require frequent travel to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: The National Account Sales Specialist responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for national distributors within your geographical territory ensuring alignment between distributor goals and Pro Line Products’ strategic initiatives.
• Analyze trends and results to develop and execute comprehensive business plans that drive growth, increase market share, and expand product offerings through national accounts.
• Build relationships at all levels within the distributor organization, including local field leadership, and key decision-makers.
• Identify growth opportunities and strategically align Pro Line Products offering with distributor needs and programs.
• Monitor KPIs, sales metrics, and promotional success; provide monthly and quarterly reporting with actionable insights.
• Collaborate internally with marketing, operations, and territory sales teams to coordinate successful go-to-market strategies.
• Obtain and maintain excellent product knowledge to present full product line.
• Launch and support national account programs, promotions, training, and strategic initiatives that drive revenue and market penetration.
• Travel as needed (up to 30–50%) for client meetings, trade shows, and account management activities.
Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3 – 5 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in national or key account management—preferably within the industrial, manufacturing, or distribution sectors.
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing high-value national accounts.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic sales plans across multiple regions or business units.
• Experience working with or selling through distributor networks (e.g., Fastenal, Grainger) is strongly preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools.

Working Conditions:
• This is an onsite/remote position that must be available to work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00 pm.
• Normal hearing and vision are essential for conversations, receiving information, and preparing documents.
• Sitting sometimes for lengthy periods of time.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.
