Job Title Assistant Branch Manager – Houston TX Branch Overview The Assistant Branch Manager helps lead and drive new business, ensures a consistent member experience, and maintains sound branch operations. Provides efficiency improvements and supports daily operations to meet production, service, and revenue goals. Assists with opening, closing, and balancing the branch, running reports, completing checklists, and certifications. Maintains flexibility to move between teller line and platform as needed. Builds and deepens relationships with members and community business partners. Represents Premier America Credit Union in the community through events and activities. Manages branch budgets, performance, and promotes cost-effective operations. Develops, directs, and supervises branch team members, including recruitment, training, and coaching. Supports the Sales and Service Playbook and demonstrates leadership excellence at all interactions. Functions as the designated Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with full compliance to the SAFE Act. Responsibilities Attend assigned training sessions and stay current on new operational procedures. Assume responsibility for related branch functions as required. Keep management informed of branch activities, progress toward objectives, and any significant problems promptly. Institute prudent safety measures and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Ensure high quality work and efficiency in operations with credit union policies. Determine work methods and flow through assigning, directing, coordinating, and reviewing tasks. Deliver outstanding member service, achieve growth goals, and develop team members. Coordinate branch operations to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. When Branch Manager is absent, serve as designated greeter, welcome visitors, and direct them courteously. Requirements High school degree or equivalent. Three to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience. One to three years of supervisory/management experience. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Experience in sales, service, operations, and lending (sav­ings, money market, checking, CD, business, consumer, mortgage, and ancillary loan products). Demonstrated track record of meeting and/or exceeding established goals. Outstanding member focus and experience. Ability to lead a high‑performing team. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to speak publicly and network for new business opportunities. Working knowledge of Episys/Symitar Core System; cash handling experience is a plus. Requires a significant level of trust, credibility, and diplomacy for sensitive or confidential interactions. Pay Grade Info The base pay range for this position is: $30 - $37 per hour.
