This contract position caters to professionals passionate about delivering supportive, tailored speech and language services to K-12 students. Your expertise will help bridge communication gaps and empower students across a diverse school community.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate and deliver services in both languages.
- Previous experience in educational settings or with pediatric populations, preferably ranging from kindergarten through twelfth grade.
- Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, with a collaborative, student-centered approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention services for K-12 students with speech, language, and communication needs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, administrators, and other school professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate, detailed records on student progress, and participate in multi-disciplinary and parent meetings.
- Use culturally competent and evidence-based practices to support a diverse student population.
- Offer consultative services and professional development to school staff regarding language and communication supports.
