Position Overview

A growing law firm in Savannah, Georgia is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 2-5 years of experience to handle sophisticated commercial disputes through trial and appeal. This is an opportunity for an attorney who wants substantial responsibility, hands-on litigation experience, and continued professional development.

Responsibilities

• Represent businesses and commercial clients in complex disputes
• Handle matters from case strategy through trial and appeal
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and appellate filings
• Manage discovery and conduct depositions
• Develop case strategy and prepare matters for trial
• Appear in Georgia Superior and State Courts, the Georgia State-wide Business Court, and U.S. District Courts
• Communicate directly with clients regarding litigation strategy and case developments
• Take ownership of assigned matters and work product

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of commercial litigation experience
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Experience with motions practice, discovery, and depositions
• Trial preparation or courtroom experience preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability
• Strong communication and client-service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Georgia Bar admission required
