Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Savannah, GA. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the firm's expansion in South and Coastal Georgia. Initially remote, the position will transition to a physical office in Savannah. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team and play a key role in the firm's growth. Duties Conduct case intake, review files, and gather key information from claim files. File responsive pleadings within statutory deadlines. Draft and serve discovery requests and responses. Communicate with insureds and claims representatives for case updates. Take and defend depositions to assess credibility and claim validity. Analyze non-party records to identify inconsistencies in testimony. Prepare detailed case evaluations for insurance carriers. Engage in motion practice, drafting and arguing pretrial motions. Develop and execute litigation strategies with senior attorneys. Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations. Prepare cases for trial, including jury selection and witness preparation. Represent clients in court proceedings with professionalism. Meet a 1,750 annual billable hour requirement. Requirements Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active Georgia Bar membership. Strong organizational skills to manage a caseload effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and fast-moving deadlines. Resourceful and proactive in problem-solving. Prior experience in insurance defense or litigation is required. Willingness to take ownership of cases and develop trial experience. Education Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Certifications Active membership in the Georgia Bar. Skills Strong organizational and communication skills.
