The Director, Total Rewards is accountable for co‑developing enterprise strategy, governance, and outcomes across compensation, benefits, executive rewards, and global mobility. This role supports executive leadership, the Board and the Company’s fiduciary committee on rewards related matters and leads major, enterprise‑wide rewards transformation.

The Director, Total Rewards is accountable for co‑developing enterprise strategy, governance, and outcomes across compensation, benefits, executive rewards, and global mobility. This role supports executive leadership, the Board and the Company’s fiduciary committee on rewards related matters and leads major, enterprise‑wide rewards transformation.
Responsibilities
- Define & execute the enterprise Total Rewards strategy and philosophy aligned to business priorities.
- Lead multi‑year Total Rewards transformation initiatives and modernization efforts.
- Serve as the enterprise leader for compensation, benefits, executive rewards, and mobility.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, HR, and leaders on integrated, compliant rewards solutions.
- Lead enterprise benefits strategy aligned to employee needs and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure effective benefits administration through teams and external partners.
- Oversee annual health and welfare renewals, negotiations, and plan recommendations.
- Set wellness strategy and assess return on investment and outcomes.
- Monitor regulatory changes and recommend risk‑mitigating program updates.
- Lead enterprise pay‑for‑performance strategy across STI, LTI, and recognition programs.
- Own and communicate compensation philosophy and decision‑making principles.
- Ensure market competitiveness through benchmarking and market intelligence.
- Design scalable reward and recognition programs for diverse business needs.
- Ensure accurate, timely incentive payouts through strong governance and controls.
- Maintain SOX‑compliant internal controls and audit readiness.
- Provide strategic oversight of global mobility and international assignment programs.
- Ensure mobility programs are compliant, cost‑effective, and business‑aligned.
- Partner with internal teams and vendors on tax, legal, and immigration requirements.
- Maintain consistent governance and employee experience across mobility programs.
- Co‑lead executive compensation and equity design and administration in partnership with senior leadership.
- Co‑lead the Company’s 401(k) fiduciary committee.
- Ensure executive programs meet regulatory and disclosure requirements.
- Prepare executive compensation materials for the Board and Compensation Committee.
- Support Proxy CD&A development with accurate compensation data and insights.
- Oversee equity administration vendors and account governance.
- Oversee and execute board payments, retiree medical, executive employment agreements.
- Act as executive sponsor for Total Rewards and mobility vendors and consultants.
- Lead vendor selection, negotiations, and performance guarantee structures.
- Partner with Legal while owning business and financial contract requirements.
- Drive vendor accountability for service quality, value, and risk management.
- Ensure enterprise governance, controls, and compliance across rewards and mobility.
- Identify and mitigate fiduciary, financial, and regulatory risks.
- Serve as escalation point for complex or high‑risk rewards matters.
- Lead and develop a high‑performing Total Rewards leadership team.
- Define operating model, roles, and decision rights for scalability of compensation decisions.
- Enable strong execution while avoiding transactional involvement.
- Build succession, capability, and long‑term team strength.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, HR, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 10‑15 years of progressive Total Rewards leadership experience.
- Proven leadership of large‑scale Total Rewards transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated success influencing CEOs, executives, and Boards.
- Deep expertise in compensation, benefits, executive pay, and fiduciary governance.
- Experience overseeing global mobility and international assignment programs.
- Strong analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills.
- Experience in public‑company or similarly governed environments.
