Financial Analyst | Excel Spreadsheet Modernization Job Summary Seeking a Financial Analyst with Agriculture and Food Sector experience to support USDA Agriculture Marketing Service (AMS) Cotton & Tobacco Program. This role focuses on Excel spreadsheet modernization, financial modeling, and data reporting. Responsibilities Modernize budget templates, perform financial modeling, and prepare cotton price statistics and fiscal year data reports. Scrutinize complex macros and formulas to identify errors and inefficiencies. Manage multiple modernization tasks across divisions and ensure timely delivery. Work closely with USDA Cotton & Tobacco divisions to understand spreadsheet needs and deliver customized solutions. Adapt to various spreadsheet types during modernization and training phases. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Financial Analysis or related field. 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, data management, or agricultural economics. Strong background in preparing and modernizing budget templates, expense templates, salary and benefits tracking reports. Familiarity with USDA financial templates for fiscal year reporting and loan premium/discount data analysis. Advanced Excel skills: macros, VBA, complex formulas, data analysis. Professional certifications such as Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) preferred. Excellent oral and written communication; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
