Location: Binghamton, NY

Pay: $20-$23/hour

Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid Opportunity

Position Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support billing, claims processing, reimbursement activities, and revenue cycle operations. This position will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate claim submission, payment reconciliation, and resolution of billing issues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit claims for reimbursement.
• Verify eligibility, authorizations, and supporting documentation.
• Monitor claim status and research denials, underpayments, and outstanding balances.
• Process claim corrections and resubmissions as needed.
• Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile payments and assist with accounts receivable activities.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with providers, payers, and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with billing regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with reporting and administrative functions related to billing operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, claims processing, healthcare administration, insurance, or a related field.
• Experience with Medicaid, managed care, medical claims, or healthcare reimbursement processes is preferred.
• Proficiency with billing software, electronic records systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
