Job Description

As a Security Officer  Access Control in Ontario, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution center, you will help manage entry points, verify access, monitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in the job state and compliance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Bring strong communication and customer service skills while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a retail distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.
• Control access for employees, vendors, delivery drivers, and/or other authorized personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
